Then by chance I checked the manual downloads and found a Beta Audigy/2/ZS/4 driver update dated Sept 21/05. But damn, seems I am losing some frames so I made sure I went to creative labs and ran the Autoupdate but nothing new was there. So I was like "whocares", just let me play. It even warned me about problems without the latest sound card drivers. Then I tried Quake 4, and I tried to enable the OpenAL setting for sound in the game and it crashed. But performance was still a little disapointing. I read a few threads and found that disabling EAX HD kept the game running for a few hours no problem.
